l know where you can legally download this album for free, but as that's the cheapskate student thing to do & l'm recommending you buy this CD - l'm not gonna tell you what you need to know - what you do need to know is this is a promising debut release from a band that sound like they've all the potential of THE GATHERING from their Downfall genesis - the most obvious comparision that struck me at first listen, was the similarity to ltaly's KLIMT1918, not only in their guitar-based songs, but also their introspective, yet touchingly observational lyrics - this CD sounds made to be played not only alongside them, but also early MUSE - though there are many echoes of earlier inspiration, such as R.E.M. INXS & even SPLIT ENDZ(the band that evolved into CROWDED HOUSE...) - This Is Our Start? the opening track, is probably the best, if only because its vibrant riff is so addictive, though it's often a mistake for a band to kick-off an album so energetically; the energy inevitably fades, but SILENCE IS SEXY aren't a novelty act & this album showcases just how many interesting songs they have so soon - Everything You Should Know is an album that deserves your support & it's available here in tasteful digipak, as l hope This Ain't Hollywood will be when that goes onto CD...
